America, Where Is the Love? A Call for Unity, Not Walls

Published on 8 March 2025 at 13:45

"Build the wall! Build the wall! Complete the wall! Complete the wall!"—the chants echo through the streets, filling the airwaves, a rallying cry from those who believe it will solve our nation's problems. But I ask you, America, where is the love in a wall?

We see people struggling. We see lives being taken. And instead of compassion, we hear voices shouting for more division. Have we, as average Americans, ever truly asked ourselves what is that wall really for? I often tell people: Be careful with the gate you build around your life—it might just be the gate that holds you when you need to flee. Today, I watch as my words become reality.

This nation—our nation—was built off the backs of people who were hated, rejected, and despised, yet they carried only love in their hearts. That same love is what I carry in mine. I am not advocating for illegal immigration. I am not saying we should let in those who seek to harm us. I am not suggesting we take resources away from struggling Americans to uplift others. What I am saying is simple: If we are going to keep people out, we must at least ensure they are safe where they are sent. These are not just adults—they are children. Children.

And yet, under the administration that took office on January 6, 2024, we are witnessing a heartless purge. Families torn apart, innocent lives displaced, and for what? To fulfill a chant? To score political points? Where is our humanity?

But it doesn’t stop there.

This same administration has moved to strip food stamps, Section 8 housing, and Social Security from those who truly need it. Yes, there are individuals who abuse these systems—no one denies that. But you cannot rip the safety net from everyone and expect only the "deserving" to climb back in. That is not how this works. That is not how a country built on freedom and fairness should operate.

What are you doing, Sir?

I have supported some of your policies, but what I will never support is hatred, manipulation, and a reckless hunger for power that puts the American people in danger. You are moving dangerously, and my prayer is that our nation will be protected from the harm you are inflicting upon it.

As a 2028 presidential candidate, I am baffled by your actions. Who is your real enemy, Mr. Trump? Because right now, it looks like you are attacking everyone. And that is not leadership. That is chaos.

A New Path for 2028

I once considered joining the Republican Party, believing it might be the best path to protect the American people. But after witnessing these events, I can no longer align myself with this movement. I cannot stand with a party that enables such destruction and division. Democratic Party, you have earned a new leader for 2028.

I call upon every American who believes in unity, fairness, and compassion to stand with me. We must undo the cruelty we are witnessing today. Our nation is better than this. Our people deserve better than this. And I promise to fight for a country that does not just chant about walls—but builds bridges instead.

Together we stand, divided we fall. You have a candidate who wants to help you all.

I welcome your thoughts. Let’s talk about it. Let’s change this together.

John Robert Badger

Presidential Candidate, 2028
